Explore which airlines top the on-time performance ranking for Aug. 2025.

Delta Air Lines generally had the highest on-time performance among major US carriers, though rankings vary slightly by reporting agency and month. A flight is considered on-time if it arrives at its gate within 15 minutes of its scheduled time. Overall performance for major carriers tends to be around 80% or higher, while lower-cost carriers often experience lower punctuality.

Here is a snapshot of August's top performers across all categories: 
•     Global: Azul took to the top spot in August, becoming the new global leader in On-Time performance with an OTP of 92.15%. 
•     North America: Delta Air Lines maintained its regional lead with an OTP of 83.93%. United Airlines and Southwest Airlines also improved and rejoined the top ranks.
