United Expects Biggest Summer Yet at Chicago O'Hare, Growing to Record 750 Flights Per Day

Throughout 2026, Chicago’s hometown airline will serve a record 222 nonstop destinations from ORD—more than any other carrier and 38 more than its nearest competitor—including 47 international and 175 U.S. cities. Beginning as early as April, five new Midwest routes go on sale January 29.

Airlines Continue to Deal with Delays after Massive Snowstorm

Schedule disruptions could linger beyond Monday as airlines regroup from the weekend's operational carnage and get aircraft and crew back into position. On Sunday, airlines canceled more than 11,600 U.S. flights, according to FlightAware. The flight tracking app Flighty said 47% of all U.S. flights were canceled Sunday.
