As a graduate of Adrian College, Adrian, Michigan, Nancy received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications.  Directly from college she began her career in travel as a group coordinator for a Canadian tour operator in Michigan.

For the next 10 years, Nancy continued working in travel and gaining momentum within the industry. In 1988 she left her position as Regional Manager for Motivation Travel, Midland, Michigan and relocated to Portland, Oregon. In Portland she joined a growing Azumano Travel.

During Nancy’s 25 years at Azumano she has filled many roles. Initially hired as a branch manager, Nancy soon became the company’s Operation’s Manager with oversight of the corporate, leisure and group departments of the company. Over the years and throughout the company’s growth she moved more specifically into the area of leisure/cruise marketing and sales, and operations. In addition to those responsibilities, Nancy successfully developed group travel programs. Those efforts resulted in over 1,000 passengers to NYC to pay tribute to those lost on 9.11; themed cruise groups and conventions for organizations such as the National Square Dance Association, Christian Singing Groups and professional sports’ teams like the Portland Trailblazers; and fan travel for Oregon Universities.

Shortly after Azumano Travel was acquired by CI Travel, in 2014, Nancy was named Vice President & General Manager of the Vacation Travel Division for the newly organized company of CI Azumano Travel. Her responsibilities include oversight of all east and west coast operations, along with marketing and sales. Nancy serves on a number of industry advisory boards, is active within the Signature Travel Network and other Portland area civic organizations.
